What Is In Store For The 2012 Ford Trucks?
Two years down the road, the Ford truck line will look a bit different if any of the rumors coming out of Detroit can be believed. While Ford is working to make itself a vehicle maker of the future, there is expected to not only be some amazing trucks coming out of Ford, but trucks that are good for the environment as well.
The 2012 Ford Ranger will be coming out in both regular and crew-cab versions, and will be larger than the other Rangers that have been sold in the United States. The 2012 Ford Ranger will have a 1.6 liter four-cylinder direct injection turbo EcoBoost Engine that can produce 175 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque. In regards to the EcoBoost engine, it is designed to give both power and torque, but will have 20 percent better fuel efficiency and 15 percent reduced greenhouse emissions than previous versions of ford truck engines. This is a common feature in 2012 Ford trucks.
Another big truck in the line of 2012 Ford trucks is the 2012 Ford F-150. The Ford F-150 will use a twin-turbo, 3.7 liter V6 EcoBoost gasoline direct injection engine for most varieties. However, there will also be a 6.2 liter Boss V8 engine model and a 4.4 liter V8 diesel model for the 2012 F-150. The overall look of the Ford F-150 will also be more aerodynamic and will have better gas mileage than its predecessors.
One very interest 2012 Ford truck is the Ford F-250 Super Chief, which is a car that was first introduced at the North American International Auto Show in 2006. It is considered to be the future of pickup trucks. It carries a supercharged aspiration and induction engine that comes with 20 valves and is hydrogen-powered. Models that are powered on gasoline and ethanol are also being released.

Great website! Why does it take Ford so long to replace the aging Ranger and other terrible mpg pickups? I would buy a 25 mpg F100 today, if it were available.
Ford trucks are truly an exciting and a strong breed of vehicles that are used to a variety of purposes with different configuration, the newly unveiled 1.6 liter four-cylinder direct injection turbo EcoBoost Engine that can produce 175 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque is truly a marvelous achievement in itself. its definitely a treat for all the Ford lovers!
Please Ford push your panic button and bring back a snow plow package.
Be nice to see a tail gate that is split in half that swings out to each side. Not very easy getting things in and out of truck with such a large fold down gate.
I had a F-150 Platinum and would like to know if it will be offered in a F-250 Platinum Model. Thanks
When will we get an F150 with a 6 speed MANUAL transmission ? Think of the added MPGs and still maintain control over towing ! I think if you took the 4.4 Diesel and had the 6 speed manual you’d get 27-29 MPG. You’d probably still get 23+ with the 5.0L.
The Ford “Super Chief” OOO Thank you. That’s just what I need for my manly-man truck, a vehicle that looks like an armored truck or a space station docking pod.
My own fault! I thought I could add a power seat after I took delivery of my “loaded” 2011 XLT
regular cab. WRONG!!!!! I have a bad back…I guess FORD thinks that those of us who want a regular cab with an 8″ box just do not need a power seat. I guess they don’t want my money. Ofcourse, I could buy a power seat through parts, for say, around two thousand……but then the wiring harness would not be compatible… and the warrantywould be voided…. I want to sit two inches higher. When I use a seat cushion, the lumbar support is off. I am so frustrated in Suttons Bay, Michigan
