What makes Hyundai a great manufacturer is the affordability. They may offer luxury in their vehicles, but they still give the car a nice price. It is not about soaking the consumer for 75,000 USD like Cadillac, even if it has some of the same features.
The first change in 2009 is going to be to the Accent. The Accent has been on the road for several years, but Hyundai decided to make a newer model with better amenities. The new options help increase the fuel efficiency about 8 percent overall for highway driving. In earlier models cruise control options were not offered to keep the cost down. The 2009 Accent will have the cruise control. The SE model is going to come with the sunroof. The thing about the Accent is size. It is a family sedan with plenty of trunk space. This hasn’t been changed other than to offer more comfort. It may not be a new car, but it certainly has some new touches.
The Azera is the luxury family car by Hyundai. Again it is not a new concept, but certainly worth choosing because of 2009 upgrades. This luxury offering will have a new style wheel, better suspension, and more control at the steering wheel. The seats are meant to be more comfortable. The Azera will be offered in more than 7 colors with a new audio system to incorporate the iPod and USB input jack.
The Elantra sports a few changes as a hatchback vehicle. It still has the great trunk space, with a smaller back seat, but you get audio upgrade options. You can use an iPOd, USB, and satellite radio in the car. The GLS and SE models will have better suspension and steering. The SE increases its spring technology to be firmer and therefore more reactive on the curves. The Elantra also has a new option in the Elantra Touring. This new model is to be released in 2009.
It is the most up to date Hyundai on the market. You have a 2.0 liter engine in a 5 door wagon style body. Test drive results were extremely high, which is why Hyundai is going ahead with the launch. The fuel efficiency is at 23 miles per gallon in the city with 31 on the highway. The only downside to the Hyundai Elantra Touring is the noise and plastic. It does have some luxury, but other interior parts are less than you would hope for overall.
Hyundai is also offering the Genesis. The Genesis is an answer to BMW’s 5 series with rear wheel driver, a 4.6 V8 or 3.8 V6 liter engine. You will find the Genesis model lives up to the specs being offered for both price and drive performance.
