2008 Duty Ford Super
Posted by admin on 17 Nov 2006
F-Series Super Duty is said to be overhauled for the 2008 model year with new and only truck with innovative Tailgate Step which enables easy access for climbing into the bed and stowable bed extender which does not need to be removedĀ and folds neatly. 2008 Duty Ford super is expected to go for sale in early 2007.
How the next generation 2008 Ford Super Duty will be different from the current model. Well, it is taller and better headlights, Tailgate Step, bed extender, grille which is more squared-off and logo shapes and locations. The new design also improves cooling and provides a solid foundation for the hydro formed body structure.
2008 Ford Super Duty is being offered in three cab styles namely Regular Cab, Super Cab and Crew Cab. Great news for Diesel fans as the new Ford Super Duty will have Power Stroke Diesel V8 will displace 6.4 liters, feature a pair of sequential turbo, and generate 350 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. The gasoline engine will come with 362-horsepower 6.8-liter V-10 Triton. Ford’s current Power Stroke has been plagued with problems, so the arrival of the new 6.4 can’t come soon enough.
Interior builds on the successful tough luxury design advanced for Super Duty. Rich surfaces are combined with elements borrowed from high-end power tools and butcher block-style wood accents to define the tough-luxury interior. Audio systems are MP3 capable and have a standard auxiliary audio input. The input allows an MP3 player to play through the vehicle’s stereo system. Premium audiophile system is also available, featuring eight speakers with subwoofer and six-disc CD changer. Rear seat passengers can enjoy the DVD Entertainment System — available on XLT, FX4 and Lariat Crew Cabs — with an eight-inch video screen, two wireless headphones and remote control.
According to Pat Schiavone, Super Duty chief designer. “A kitchen can be very stylish and look very expensive, but it also must be very functional. It was that kind of thinking that drove tough luxury.”
i cannot wait for ford to fold. they make shit cars and trucks. i tried the 500 that is not worth 10,000 never mind 22.000
Sorry CA, can’t agree with you. I have driven Fords all my life, now 47. I have never had one leave me stranded. Four people have problems on the forums and everyone thinks they are bad. Fourty Five K on my 6.0 SuperDuty with no major problems, a 2004 F-250. Looks like the only people that have a problem with them are the ones that can’t afford them!
CA, you are an idiot. Ford makes the best trucks hands down, that is why they are the best seller year in and year out. Get a life please.
1st response is written by an emotion driven person with preconceived notions. By any measure, Ford trucks are far superior. Take the front fender off of a competitor and what do you see, the engine. Take it off of a Ford and there is a whole sub structure welded to the firewall and core support. That is only one little comparisons. GM has the highest production cost of anyone, so they have to cut out as much as possible to remain competitive. They concentrate on ride to sell their product.
Yes i agree with David all any chevy guy talks about is how smooth they ride, but u know wut i buy a truck because i want a truck if i wanted a car i would go buy one.
Being a commerical contractor, its a MUST to have reliable
transportation that can take the abuse of a job site. I’ve
owned 3 trucks in the past 18 years, ALL of them are fords.
1986 f250, over 200K, little rusty, but ran great when I traded
it for a 90 350 dually, 460 gas hawg but still runs great very
little rust, mostly on the chrome bumper. and my commierical
work truck is a 2001 250 v10. keeps right up with the 7.3PS,
even through the hills of Rolla, MO. (chevy and dodge guys hate
it when 4 superdutys go flying by at 75 mph hauling- 1 w/case 8045
skidsteer2/with trailers loaded with toolboxes, 1 w/ 34 foot
hitchhikerII camper) point is sure they may cost $30,000+ but the
point is 18 years and never been stranded with more than a flat.
I call it THE tool for the trade, pretty amazing to me.
P.S. my f250 has far less road noise and smoother ride than my
mother in law’s GMC envoy(there lux SUV)!!!! so GM dosent quiet
have the whole “better ride” thing in the box yet..
ford trucks are the best…hands down.
Man i love a nice ford truck! dodge kinda sucks but chevy suck massive balls! i work at this farm and my boss bought a new chevy 2500HD w/ 4500HD gas engine in it. before that he had a F-250 Ford Power Stroke. first of all, almost all the lights have fallen off his new chevy because they are held on by tape (no lie there is one strip of tape holding each light on). i don’t need to go into detail but the rest of the truck i falling apart too! after 1 year it’s going to be in the same shape as the stroker after 10 years! The chevy at first glance looks good on the inside but the door hinge has already broken because it is made of plastic.
To all you chevy men, well you don’t deserve to be called men because men don’t make dumb ass decisions like buying a chevy, you suck!
TO all you Ford MEN keep living to good life ( what i mean is making fun of chevy people is never hard and it never get old!)
YEH Go Ford!
I just traded in our 2006 Dodge Ram 4×4 Hemi for a 08 Ford F250 SD. I have owned both and though the Dodge never really gave me many issues it was built much lighter and was more like a car than a truck. Hauling our Jeep on a trailer did not sit well with the Dodge. The F250 4×4 PS just feels like it is built like a truck and the new PS is very quiet. Honestly I would like to hear the diesel make a bit more noise.
Chevys are over priced and not built a well as the Dodge line. So that being said Ford, Dodge GM..
I have been a Class a Mechanic for 15 years. I have never been so disapointed with a motor vehicle company in all my life.
Ford vehicles were a big piece of junk when I first started out in the trade, and today they are even worse.
The F-series trucks are garbage – particularly the 6.0 L turbo diesel.
What a total abortion this entire powertrain was. Good ridence.
Quality is job one
Have been in Ford trucks since 1977 and am on my 11th one, the last three SD diesels. Up until now I have never taken one back to the dealer for service. Just took delivery on a 2008 SD 6.4 diesel and with less than 400 miles on it I have a computer message that says “Trailer Wiring Fault”. Maybe Ford shouldn’t have gotten rid of so many experienced assemblers and replaced them with lower paid, unexperienced employees. Hope this isn’t a sign of things to come with this truck.
Well Tony, you might be a class A mechanic, but I doubt if you’ve ever owned a Ford truck. I’ve had Ford F150 trucks on 2 or 3 year leases since 1978. The last 3 trucks were F350 diesels used to pull a 35 foot 5th wheel trailer. None have ever been back to the dealers for anything except routine service. The diesels pull the trailer like it’s not even back there and as we walk around the campgrounds, the majority of tow vehicles are Fords, with a few Chevys and very few Dodges. Ford must be doing something right.
i wanna to be designer in cars dodge toyota and bmw
Guys it all depends on how you take care of a truck , you could destroy a army tank if you abuse it. Its what yo put into any vehicle..
i own a 2007 gmc 2500 duramax and i drive a 2008 powerstoke at work they have the same miles and my ford lives at the dealer i am driving it around right now with a data recorder because my dealer cant figure out why it keeps derating and thinks its overheating oh yea it rides like a tank
My son and I are desert rats and over the last three years we have been keepong a running tally on what vehicles get stuck the most… Dodge is by far the worst, then Chevy, then Ford…
I’m a certified vehicle operations instructor for a law enforcement agency… At my certification course they jacked up one rear wheel of a Ford, Chevy and Dodge, leaving them in two wheel drive mode… The Chevy and Dodge tire that was off the ground would spin all day long and the truck would not go anywhere… The Ford, pulled forward off the jack and drove away…
I have been searching the web for info on the 07-08 6.0 ford and all I get is bad news. I guess ill just get the 5.4 triton gas motor, my dodge cummins o4′ has 200K miles and no problems. just always wanted to try a pwr stroke E-350 van but 24-30K is high for an experiment.
