2010 Ford Fiesta subcompact which is going to be launched in Europe in late 2008 will be on sale in US much later. The model going for sale in US will be same European model with not many changes.
The primary feature for future Ford Fiesta subcompact will be its light weight and superior strength to stand crash test. The light weight will ensure better fuel economy and excellent performance. The structure for the car will stand on lot of high-strength steel. The car will have large trapezoidal lower grille with huge headlights that stretches almost towards the top of the wheel arches. A rising waistline is another fresh design feature, while at the back there’s a wraparound screen with bold tail-lights that echo those of the S-MAX and Mondeo.
The car will be fitted with 1.3, 1.6 and 1.8-litre Duratec SCi direct-injection petrol engines, along with 1.4 and 1.6-litre TDCi diesel engines which was manufactures with the help of Peugeot. 2010 Ford Fiesta will have choices of both manual and automatic gearboxes. The engine is going to be environment friendly with an estimated emission of less than 120g/km of CO2.
Inside, future Ford Fiesta will be using same vehicle architecture which was 1st seen on the new Mazda2 a la “kinetic design”. New Mazda2 is scheduled to be launched primarily in Japanese and European markets. Present Ford Fiesta dashboard is going to be replaced by stylish and high quality design with increased interior space. 2010 Ford Fiesta will also feature Microsoft-developed Sync technology, which adds MP3 player compatibility and a Bluetooth wireless phone connection into one system.
Future Ford Fiesta will come in both 3 door and 5 door models with a supermini mpv called as B-MAX.
I love my 2004 FORD FOCUS in a gorgeous bright yellow color. I was astounded that Ford had discontinued the Focus Hatchback last year, and was delighted to read (in this morning’s Columbus DISPATCH, that Ford will introduce a FIESTA HATCHBACK in 2010. PLEASE, PLEASE, issue the Fiesta in the same (or similar) yellow as my Focus — I want to buy one as soon as Buckeye Ford in London Ohio has one available (in yellow, naturally.)
I hope Ford makes the Fiesta look like the Verve photo on this site. I would not be able to resist THAT!
