2006 Lexus RX 400h SUV: April 2005
2006 Lexus RX 400h SUV is going to be launched in April 2005. It will be qorld's first hybrid powered luxury car. The car would give better fuel efficiency, reduced emission and great performance with compromising on luxury and utilities. 2006 Lexus RX 400h SUV would use advanced Hybrid Synergy Drive system with 3.3-liter V6 engine and high-torque electric drive motor-generator. The other important feature for this hybrid car will be electric drive motor-generator at rear which will give all wheel drive capability to the car.
2006 Toyota Highlander SUV: Summer 2005
Toyota is likely to roll out the 2006 toyota Highlander SUV, a midsize SUV, in summer of 2005 for about $35,000(estinate). According to Toyota spokesman Wade Hoyt, "We're trying to expand the market beyond that niche of people who are environmentally conscious, or technology fans".
The major limitation of hybrid car sales was that the current hybrid car have less power, less room which will now go off with these hybrid cars. Other factor was that Toyota Prius does not have a four wheel drive which will be fulfilled by these Hybrid SUVs. |
