Bank of America Corp. announced incentives on Hybrid Cars

Bank of America Corp. recently announced incentives to its employees for their new purchase of hybrid car in Boston, Los Angeles and Charlotte, N.C. Bank of America Corp. is going to reimburse its employees in these three cities once they submit their bill for the purchase of hybrid car. 21,000 employees will be benefited with this program.

This news would certainly build a good creditability for hybrid cars. This move should be followed by other major institution in US which will bring much awaited push for environment awareness which is still very low.

According to Anne Finucane, international marketing and corporate affairs executive and chief of the BofAs environmental council, "We are pleased to be one of the first corporations offering this benefit and strengthening our longstanding leadership on environmental issues."

Moves like these couples by tax incentives from Govt. and entry for hybrid cars in car pool lanes will for sure uplift the sales of these cars. Google Inc. offers $5000 incentives for its employees not only for hybrid cars but for any car which gets at least 45 miles per gallon. In addition Govt. gives $3,000 federal tax credit for buying a hybrid vehicle in some states.
